The Civic Council of Greater Kansas City is a membership organization comprised of CEOs of the larger firms in the Kansas City region. Focused on helping to define the region’s future as a leading global location for business and quality of life, the Civic Council members use their combined leadership, resources and influence to take on opportunities and challenges that are large in scope, long-term and often complex.
The Kansas City Area Development Council is a private, nonprofit organization charged with representing the economic interests of the entire two-state, 18-county region of Greater Kansas City. Its mission is to brand the KC region as one product to stimulate economic growth and enhance awareness of the metro’s assets to create positive perceptions.
The Mid-America Regional Council, a nonprofit association of city and county governments, serves as the metropolitan planning organization for the bistate Kansas City region. MARC promotes regional cooperation through leadership, planning and action, providing a forum for the region to work together to advance social, economic and environmental progress.
The KC Chamber is a membership organization that represents more than 2,250 companies and 300,000 employees across the Greater Kansas City region. The Chamber’s mission is to provide leadership to help business grow and Kansas City prosper – making KC the best place to live, work, start and grow a business.
KC Rising is supported by active engagement of the leadership and staff of the Civic Council of Greater Kansas City, the Kansas City Area Development Council (KCADC), Mid-America Regional Council (MARC), and the support of many regional chambers of commerce including the KC Chamber, our great educational institutions, and elected officials across the region, among others.
