Parade of Hearts in Kansas City is a public art experience that celebrates art, culture and diversity by uniting communities while supporting nonprofits. The event features beautifully designed hearts by local artists placed throughout the Kansas City region. The Parade of Hearts is built on five pillars: Arts & Culture, Health & Wellness, Education, Minority Owned Business and Hospitality & Tourism.
The Arts & Culture pillar is represented by the local and regional artist community, focusing on showcasing a diverse collection of artists in the 2023 event. The Health & Wellness pillar is represented by the University of Kansas Health System and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
In 2023, a Limited Edition Parade of Hearts will feature 40 beautifully decorated hearts in high-traffic visitor areas throughout the City. The Parade of Hearts Board of Directors and Committees are also planning for the 2024 event, bringing over 100 hearts to the Kansas City Region.
In December 2022, public charities throughout the KC region had the opportunity to apply for consideration to become the final beneficiary for Parade of Hearts 2023 and 2024. The final beneficiary will be announced on March 1, 2023. Don’t miss the chance to be a part of the Parade of Hearts in 2023, and help support local artists and nonprofits in Kansas City.
