It has now been six months since our Year One Update and we continue to be inspired and impressed by the amount of activity, progress and work being done to support our KC Rising mission. Here are just a few highlights:
- Significant work is being done to identify gaps in difficult-to-hire positions and degree programs offered building toward a fully operational Talent-to-Industry Exchange.
- Leadership in the design, construction, engineering and architecture industries are meeting to accelerate a national branding and positioning effort to make our KC region a national and global center of excellence.
- The KCRise Fund has announced its first close with $10 million in commitments. A separate not-for-profit effort to educate current and future investors in the art of early-stage investing has recruited an advisory board to oversee its efforts.
This just scratches the surface of so much exciting work and focused motivation among the business leaders in our region moving our KC Rising mission forward.
